feels that initiatives like this could pave way for
a stronger bond between police and the general

Speaking to the Café Social team, IPS Akash
says, “A lot of people generally ask me about
my preparations for the civil services, seek
guidance on competitive exams and want to
know about my success mantra. Hence, I
thought of sharing my notes online to reach out
to as many as I can and contribute to their
endeavours and success”.
Popular among his juniors and colleagues,
Akash is recognized for his outstanding
accomplishments and is a recipient of several
awards. He was also praised for his efforts in
rescuing around 3000 endangered species of
Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister of Environment,
Forest and Climate.
Commenting on the challenges, Akash points
that “The above is just one of the things our
department has been able to achieve.
Otherwise, I feel, we policemen hardly ever get
any praise. The lower ranks personnel nd it
even more challenging with more work, less
family time and even lesser appreciation for
their job. Few isolated incidents, painting a
wrong picture of the police further adds to our
woes. It is important that this perception needs
to be xed.
We are part of a society too and its constituents
can only live in harmony if they trust and co-
operate with each other. Hence, my endeavour
is to reach out to public and show them why
they should trust us more and work with us for a
building a better, harmonious and crime free
society”.
