Siddhanth Kapoor detained in Bengaluru for drug abuse at a Party

Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor has been detained by the Bengaluru Police for allegedly consuming drugs at a party in the city on Sunday night.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a hotel on MG Road where a party was hosted. The cops sent the samples of 35 people suspected of having consumed drugs. Siddhanth Kapoor’s sample was among six that returned positive.

Police said it was unclear if they consumed drugs and came to the party or if they consumed them at the hotel.

Son of Hindi film star Shakti Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor is also an actor who portrayed the character of Chintu Dedha in the 2020 web series ‘Bhaukaal’. He also acted in several movies, such as ‘Shootout at Wadala’, ‘Ugly, ‘Haseena Parkar’, ‘Chehre’, etc. He also worked as an assistant director in films like ‘Bhagam Bhag’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya’, and ‘Dhol’.

Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor was among those who were questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the case of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput over alleged possession of drugs. However, nothing substantial was proved.

Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Deepika Padukone were questioned in September 2020 based on WhatsApp chats that the NCB had unearthed during its investigation of the drugs case that came to the fore after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
