From Healing to Hustle: How a Couple Brewed a Rs 6 Cr Wellness Brand from Their Kitchen

“What began as healing for one became hope for thousands.”
When Vibha Harish was diagnosed with PCOS in 2016, she turned to traditional herbs and plant-based remedies after finding little help from conventional medicine. That deeply personal health battle became the seed for Cosmix, a clean, gut-friendly wellness brand co-founded with her husband, Soorya Jagadish.
Launched in December 2019, Cosmix blends age-old Indian wisdom with modern nutritional science. What started as a small operation in their kitchen now generates over Rs 6 crore monthly, thanks to thoughtfully crafted products like plant-based proteins and herbal gut aids. The brand’s unique touch? No synthetic additives, no bulking agents just real ingredients like turmeric, ashwagandha, and jeera, all sourced ethically from Indian farmers.
Their journey did not follow a straight path. While Soorya was involved in turning the company into a functioning entity, Vibha worked for Rolls-Royce, which she eventually quit. “We didn’t want to just enter the wellness space; we wanted to change how people approached their health,” explains Vibha.
The sustainability initiatives of Cosmix are just as impressive. Defying industry norms, every product is packaged in glass jars with scoops made from biodegradable material instead of plastic, which is common in the wellness industry. The couple works alongside labs accredited by FSSAI and NABL to guarantee safety and potency for each batch.
Utilising feedback from their community, blends like My Happy Gut and Sleep Like a Baby were created, tackling bloating and insomnia through evidence-based herbal nutrition. With a 95-member workforce managing social media and manufacturing, their unwavering customer strategy provides a reliable foundation.
Wrapped up into one business model, these two independents are proudly bootstrapped and independently owned, targeting expansion while sustainably preserving citizens’ health and the Earth at its core. “This is not just business for us,” says Soorya. “It’s a mission.”
From Shunya to Shikhar, Cosmix is more than a brand, it’s a symbol of resilience, purpose, and belief in beginnings. To every entrepreneur at the edge of an idea, this is your sign. You don’t need a big team or big funding to begin. You need a real problem, a bold heart, and the courage to stick with it. Cosmix did it. So can you.
