Ahinsa Charitable Trust

Hello, wonderful readers of Cafe Social Magazine,

Allow me to share with you a story that has become the heartbeat of my existence—the journey of Ahinsa Charitable Trust and the profound joy that emanates from giving love and care to our animal friends.

In 2009, a small group of friends and I embarked on a humble mission: feeding milk to dogs every Sunday. Little did we know that this simple act of kindness would evolve into a burning passion for the welfare of animals. The joy derived from nurturing these creatures became a driving force in my life.

As the festival of kite flying brought joy to my heart, the sight of injured birds halted my celebrations. It was then that I took a step back, joining volunteers to save these winged beings. This marked the beginning of a journey that would change not only my perspective but also the lives of countless animals.

In 2014, a pivotal incident altered the course of my life. A friend brought an injured dog for treatment, and as I provided care, I couldn’t anticipate the profound impact it would have. Hours later, I found myself hospitalized after a sudden heart attack. While I battled for my life, news reached me that the dog had not survived. In that moment of sorrow, a determination ignited within me—to establish a well-equipped hospital, ensuring no animal would go without proper treatment.

The road ahead was riddled with challenges. Financial constraints threatened our dream, but the unwavering support of friends, coupled with the grace of God, propelled us forward. Despite being a job worker with no additional income, the dream persisted—a dream that echoed the cries of animals and birds we had witnessed dying before us.

Through relentless day-and-night efforts, we overcame hurdles and transformed a vision into reality. The Ahinsa Charitable Trust Hospital, equipped with certified doctors, now stands as a beacon of hope. Every month, we extend our healing hands to 600-650 birds and animals, saving lives and creating a sanctuary of care.

From 2009 to 2023, our journey has been both challenging and rewarding. The numbers speak volumes—50,400 pigeons, 7,000 crows, 47,200 dogs, and 5,600 cats have found solace in our hospital.

Ahinsa Charitable Trust is not just a name; it’s a commitment to save birds and street animals in the city of Mira Bhayandar. We provide free treatment, embodying the spirit of giving for the well-being of our community.

Join us in this joyous journey, where every act of giving becomes a celebration of life—a life where compassion knows no bounds.
