Debojit, a model and actor by profession, graduated from Naharkatiya College with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. Fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, and Assamese, he has participated in various fashion shows and worked with prestigious fashion brands. Taking part in India’s biggest annual men’s competition, the Rubaru Mr India Contest, was a turning point in his life. The 24-yearold won the Rubaru Mr India Grand International 2017.
The Rubaru Mr India contest is run by the Rubaru Group headed by Sandeep Kumar. The pageant has its roots back in the mid- 2000s when it was held as an annual regional modelling competition in Northern India. But today, the pageant has become the most respected and widely celebrated annual event in the world’s largest democracy, India. Mister Grand International will have its very first edition this year. This pageant has two main concepts: “Charismatic” and “Compassionate”. The organization is looking for a man who is charming, has a positive mindset and must be compassionate. International contests will be attended by candidates from all over the world. They will be judged on various parameters like confidence, speaking skills, fitness, personality and many more. All these factors will help in determining the winner of the very first edition of Mister Grand International.
