Ayurvedic Remedies to Soothe a Sore Throat!!
One of the most prevalent Omicron symptoms is a sore throat, which can be extremely painful. Whether you have tested positive for COVID-19 or not, Ayurveda can help you with a dry, scratchy, and irritated throat.
While the viral infection is one of the causes of a sore throat, the discomfort can be caused by a variety of factors. The chilly air may wreak havoc on your health in the winter, leaving your throat dry and scratchy. A combination of enough fluids and saltwater gargles is an age-old cure for throat pain and discomfort.
- Take steam
In the case of throat problems, steam inhalation with fresh pudina (mint) leaves or ajwain (caraway seeds) can be done once a day, according to AYUSH standards.
2. Clove powder and honey

3. Saltwater gargles
In a glass of water, combine 1 tbsp turmeric and 1/2 tbsp salt and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Use it to gargle when the temperature is just right. According to Ayurveda expert Dr. Dixa Bhavsar, gargling 3–4 times a day for alleviation of a sore throat is recommended.
4. Tulsi leaves
Tulsi is a powerful antiviral herb that can help with coughs, colds, and sore throats. Boil 4-5 tulsi leaves in water till soft, then drain and drink. Dr. Bhavsar recommends adding honey and ginger if desired.
5. Fenugreek
Fenugreek is a traditional remedy for sore throats that contains natural ingredients that aid in throat cleansing. 5 minutes after boiling 1 teaspoon of fenugreek in 250 mL of water, filter, and drink.
